Pam Heaney is a highly experienced grief counsellor and a former funeral director. She has directed educational programmes for health professionals, volunteers, families and support groups; has organised therapeutic workshops; has worked as trauma debriefer and lectures on the subject extensively. She was co-founder of the Grief Education Trust and contributed to the establishment of the National Association for Loss and Grief.

She gives clear, straightforward advice and respectfully recommends practical advice for different age groups, especially teens. As she says, understanding the needs of children will help us help them when they're most vulnerable.
