AMERICAN JOURNEYS by Don Watson and WANTING by Richard Flanagan have been shortlisted for the 2008 award and SUMMERTIME by J.M Coetzee and RANSOM by David Malouf have been shortlisted for the 2009 award. Winners will be announced 1 September.
