Alex Cross Returns to Big Screen

Idris Elba, star of THE WIRE and THE OFFICE has signed on to play Dr. Alex Cross in the latest James Patterson thriller series adaptation, CROSS.

Previous James Patterson film adaptations of his long-running Alex Cross series include KISS THE GIRLS in 1997 and ALONG CAME A SPIDER in 2001 - both films starred Morgan Freeman as detective Cross.

The news of Elba taking over this iconic role has generated excitement and anticipation. The new Alex Cross film will begin production in the spring of 2011.

James Patterson’s Alex Cross series follows homicide investigator and forensic psychologist, Alex Cross as he solves some of the most gruesome and horrific crimes. The most recent Alex Cross books include CROSS COUNTRY, ALEX CROSS’S TRIAL, CROSS FIRE, and I, ALEX CROSS.
