Ben Elton is Heading to Channel 9

Ben Elton, the comedian behind The Blackadder series and author of PAST MORTEM and CHART THROB, is set to write, produce and host a brand new live variety show, airing on Channel 9 early next year.

The show, titled LIVE FROM PLANET EARTH will be a smart and high energy live show, featuring Elton’s renowned stand-up routines.

"With LIVE FROM PLANET EARTH I want to bring a unique and exciting live comedy experience to Aussie screens... the audience, the performers and our guests will all play a crucial role in the fun." Ben said.

Ben has been described as ‘a world-class creative force’, with playwright, performer and best-selling author credits to his name. His latest novel, BLIND FAITH is a dark, savagely comic novel, set in a post-apocalyptic society.
