CBCA Book of the Year Shortlist and Notables Announced
Christine Bongers’ HENRY HOEY HOBSON has been shortlisted for the Children's Book Council of Australia’s Book of the Year awards.

The winner for this year’s award will be announced and presented on Friday 19 August.

Joining Christine are 9 Random House children’s authors, whose works have been recognised in the 2011 CBCA Notable list. These authors include:

Sue Bursztynski for her book WOLFBORN,
Georgia Blain’s DARKWATER,
Michelle Cooper’s THE FITZOSBORNES IN EXILE,
John Flanagan’s RANGER’S APPRENTICE 10: THE EMPEROR OF NIHON-JA,
Steven Herrick’s SLICE: JUICY MOMENTS FROM MY IMPOSSIBLE LIFE,
Nette Hilton’s THE INNOCENTS,
Michael Pryor’s THE LAWS OF MAGIC 5: MOMENT OF TRUTH,
James Roy’s ANONYMITY JONES,
Catherine Bateson’s MIMI AND THE BLUE SLAVE.
