Hooked: Calling All Writers

Random House Australia is launching HOOKED, a hot new digital-first romance imprint for readers aged 15+.

AND WE WANT TO PUBLISH YOUR STORIES.

Do you love Sarah Dessen, Stephanie Perkins, Lauren Kate and Jennifer Echols? Or books like THE KISSING BOOTH by Beth Reekles, Rebecca Donovan’s Breathing series, Jessica Sorensen’s Fallen Star series, or the Perfect Chemistry books by Simone Elkeles? If so, it might be time for you to start writing. You might be the NEXT BIG THING IN DIGITAL ROMANCE!

Bad boys, good girls; bad girls, good boys; girl next door meets new boy next door, small-town boy meets big-city girl; romance at home; romance on holiday;  unlikely romance, likely romance; he loves you, you don’t love him; he loves her, you love her;  overcoming the odds, first love, based on fan fiction, realistic or fantasy - we want it all.

If yours is a page-turning story full of love, lust, tension, suspense and fantastic characters, WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU.

Selected stories will be published online in 2013 or 2014. Authors will receive a standard royalty, and will work with a senior editor at Random House to bring their story through the editing and publication process.

Stories should be  approximately 60,000-80,000 words.
