My book launch at the Capitol Theatre was another amazing experience. Thanks to the wonderful Michael Jacobsen the event was a night I will never forget. The venue was superb, I am so thankful to all of the wonderful people who came. It was great to see my family and friends celebrate the finalisation of my book with me, after all of the time I have isolated myself to write. I would like to thank Alison Urquhart and my editor Kevin O’Brien for having faith in my abilities and helping my dreams come true. Most of all for letting me keep my voice.
Since the launch life has become a blur. Two days after the launch it was off to Melbourne to the Mind Body Spirit Festival. The four day event was extremely busy, yet enlightening. I met many people, alive and in spirit and all of you touched my life. Communicating with spirit is such a gift, but it is also trying to discover how people have come to pass. There were many beautiful beings I met during this time and the positive experience we shared was that I could pass on their messages to those they left behind. Being a medium is not always an easy job, but is fulfilling when you see the light shine in the loved ones they touch.
My room was extremely haunted, I wasn’t very psychic in booking into the hotel. I didn’t get much sleep, as the ghosts had other ideas. I felt great satisfaction in the connections I had made during my visit to Melbourne. I was extremely excited to return home to Sydney though, to my bed.
I returned to Sydney late Monday. Thankfully I didn’t return with Swine Flu although was exhausted by all of the readings and slept all of Tuesday and some of Wednesday. I bought my daughter tickets to the P!nk concert last year, so it was off to the Entertainment Centre Wednesday night. Boy what a night, I feel like I need to go to the gym more often than I already do. We had an amazing night and if any of you question whether or not you should buy tickets, then my answer is YES you should. I felt tired just watching how much energy and enthusiasm P!nk put into the show.
Today I did a radio interview with Cliff Robertson and Murray Wilton on 2UE. This was an interesting experience answering how my journey began with the spirit world and about my police work. I hope that in some small way my journey enlightens others and helps people to realise that no matter how isolated you feel that you are never alone. I agree with: 'Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming, wow what a ride!' - Anon.
Life is not a half empty glass, it is always half full. Always think about what you can change not what you can’t. Life is so fragile, we never know exactly how much time we have, so make every moment count. Through all of my near death experiences, I have learnt to notice all of the small things as well as the big. Most importantly tell your loved ones how much they mean to you while you are alive instead of getting the message to them through a medium like myself. Never let a loved one say goodbye without kissing them and saying I Love You.
