Random House Authors Honoured on Queen’s Birthday

Four Random House authors have been awarded honours at this year's The Queen's Birthday Honours.
Former Wallaby and bestselling Australian author of BATAVIA, Peter FitzSimons and Kurri Kurri supercross rider, Chad Reed are amongst those to be awarded the Order of Australia.
FitzSimons was honoured for his outstanding contributions to sport and literature. He is currently working on his next biography is about the Australian Antarctic explorer Douglas Mawson.
Chad Reed will also be adding author to his extensive list of achievements, his autobiography, MY WAY, hits stores in 2012. Chad was acknowledged at the honours for his services to international motorsports and his contribution to the Indigenous community.
Meanwhile, Kate Atkinson, author of the bestselling Jackson Brodie detective series and Edmund De Waal, author of the international literary hit, THE HAREWITH AMBER EYES have both been awarded an Order of the British Empire.
