The Age Book of the Year Awards Shortlist 2011

Debut authors, Catherine Harris and Maggie MacKellar are amongst those shortlisted for the 2011 The Age Book of the Year Awards. 

Catherine Harris, author of the witty and warm collection of short stories in LIKE BEING A WIFE has been included in the fiction category.

While Maggie MacKellar’s WHEN IT RAINS, a heart-wrenching but triumphant story of rebuilding a life and a family, has been included in the non-fiction category.

Both authors are in the running to win a prize of $10,000 in their nominated category. Winners of The Age Book of the Year Awards are announced on Friday 26 August at the Melbourne Writers Festival.
