Western Australian Premier's Book Awards

The 2011 WA Premier’s Book Awards shortlist was announced yesterday by John Day, the Culture and the Arts Minister, and four Random House authors were included on the list.

Harry Dillon and Peter Butler were shortlisted for their book, MACQUARIE in the adult non-fiction category. While children’s authors, Christine Bongers were shortlisted for HENRY HOEY HOBSON; James Roy for his Y.A. novel, ANONYMITY JONES and Michelle Cooper for THE FITZOSBORNES IN EXILE:THE MONTMARAY JOURNALS 2.

There were a record of 571 books submitted into the award this year, the award winners will be announced in September 2011.
