Book Description
Excitement, drama and action - and the answers to all your burning questions about the Rangers of Araluen!
Everyone knows the legends of the Rangers of Araluen. But no one has heard the whole story - until now. Has Halt told Will the truth about how Will became an orphan? Did Gilan track down Morgarath's lieutenant after the battle of Three Step Pass? Is there to be a royal wedding - or will tragedy strike first? Inspired by questions and letters sent by his loyal readers, John Flanagan answers all your burning questions about the world of the Rangers.
If you want to know what's gone before and what comes next for Will, Halt, Horace, Alyss, Evanlyn and Gilan - not to mention a certain stubborn little pony - The Lost Stories is an unmissable read.

ReportI'm amazed at the sheer volume of irrelevant comments; save all this nonsense for forums and the such, for this is for reviews, not random posts. Now to my REVIEW: I personally enjoyed reading this book, as it answered many of the questions which had plagued my mind for quite a while. It was as engaging as the previous books, with delightful humour aplenty. However, the fact that there were several short stories together unavoidably made the book lack cohesion, and the stories nearly always made me want to read more about a specific incident and raised several more unanswered questions. On a side note, it amuses me to enter bookstores and find that the series is classified as a children's book; although I'm passed the years of an "older child", I still enjoy reading Flanagan's unique style of writing and his sense of humor. I particularly liked "Purple Prose", and while reading often wondered how he expected an "older child" to understand some - if not all - of those intolerably pompous words that Will used. All in all, this was a great and nearly unflawed book which answered a multitude of interesting questions left for the reader, and should definitely be read by all fans of the Ranger's Apprentice series.
