Love on Location

A deliciously fun rom com about a girl who has big dreams and just can’t stop herself from falling in love.

A deliciously fun rom com about a girl who has big dreams and just can’t stop herself from falling in love.

Shayna is this close to getting her dream job as a location manager for a new TV soap, she just needs to find the right house to film it in, and the job is hers.

Luckily, she’s found the perfect place. Unluckily, the owner - who is tall, blond and more handsome than is fair - is stubbornly refusing to let her use it unless she goes to dinner with him. No harm in that, right?

Lachlan swore he’d never go back into show business - not after his heart was broken - and the last thing he wants is a film crew traipsing through his house, but there’s something about Shayna that’s making it hard to say no . . .

He won’t let anyone near his heart, and she’s not looking for love – what could possibly go wrong?

Praise for Love on Location

Really fun – mixes glamour with behind the scenes and some goodies and baddies . . . Love on Location is essentially a book to put a smile on your face while you’re stuck under someone’s armpit on a train (yes, this did happen to me) and brighten up your day.

I enjoyed reading Love on Location and would recommend it for your summer reads. It's the story of Shayna, a location scout in Australia who finds the perfect house for an upcoming movie shoot. The house is owned by Lachlan,a former child star who only agrees to opening his home to the crew so he can get to know Shayna better. The story is upbeat and includes a positive message about the importance of family. I highly recommend this book.

Love on Location was a delicious, fast-paced novella set in Australia . . . I look forward to reading more of Ms. Baxter's work, especially if they continue to be as tantalizing and fun to read as this one!

Cute, fun, sweet romance. Shayna was a great heroine. She's kind and generous, dedicated to her job, to people she cares about. I thought her job - and the role it plays in the plot - was really interesting and illuminates the type of girl she is, and how important movies are in her life. Lachlan first appears to be a surly, grumpy guy but as the story progresses we get to know what kind of guy he really is, a talented, compassionate guy. And he has an awesome house.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fluffy read for a lazy afternoon.

this is a fun, enjoyable read and a great example of how shorter stories can deliver on both characters and plot.

Love on Location is a delightful modern romance set in Pittwater, a northern suburb of Sydney.

Love on Location is a short and sweet romantic read, hitting all the right notes for a romance narrative. It’s cute, but not overly cliché – we know from the beginning the guy is going to get the girl. It’s quirky and most importantly, it’s real. The characters, the setting, the drama all feels relate-able and while the show and some of its characters might be over the top, its exactly what I picture something like Home & Away to be like (which is exactly what I thought of the entire time I read this) from the production side. What’s more the length of the narrative makes it that perfect romantic read to escape the everyday hustle and bustle of life while curling up on the couch this winter (or on the beach in summer if your lucky enough!).
