Mac Slater has discovered what he thinks is the coolest thing in New York City. Maybe even the world. But he's not allowed to tell a soul.
Mac has always dreamed of 'making it' in New York City. Now he and his best friend Paul are there on a coolhunt for a massive webspace that gets over a million hits a day. Their assignment is to find the Next Big Thing.
Mac soon makes friends with Melody, who leads them to The Hive. It's an old boatshed where innovative kids are creating computer apps, sneakers and transport that are way more cutting edge than anything on the market. And the Hivers are about to test an invention that could change the world.
Mac's boss at Coolhunters is desperate for him to spill the beans but Melody has sworn Mac to secrecy. He's found the coolest thing in NYC but he's not allowed to tell a soul.
Should he sell out the Hive and become a hero to Coolhunters subscribers or risk losing the coolest job on earth? Friends or fame? Which would you choose?
